Advanced and Expanded Resources
Updated LogicSource for eDirectory
Have you taken a close look at your directory tree lately? If you want to know one of the reasons it's running so smoothly, check out this month's update to LogicSource for eDirectory. A new chapter, located in the "Understanding eDirectory Processes" section, discusses the Janitor background process.
The purpose of the Janitor process is two-fold. First, the Janitor process purges all purgeable objects in the eDirectory database. Second, the Janitor process maintains the Access Control Lists (ACLs) throughout the tree. These processes ensure that your tree remains uncluttered and performs at top efficiency.
