Novell Technical Subscriptions

Licensing

Novell Technical Subscriptions offer three different licenses to meet your needs. Explore the following licensing options to see which one is right for you:

Depending on your subscription, you may have access to Novell's evaluation software, which is subject to end user licensing agreement (EULA) terms and some product-specific software limitations. For more information, visit our EULA and evaluation software limitations pages. Some subscriptions also include access to Linux products and registration codes which are governed by different licensing guidelines. See Linux Registration Code Restrictions below for more information.

Standard License

The Standard License allows only one person to use a subscription, and the technical resources on that subscription may be installed on only one computer.

Licenses for the Standard License are available on the Subscriber Portal.

  • Novell Professional Resource Suite
  • Novell Professional Resource Suite—Portal Advantage
  • Novell Tech Select Service

Registration codes must be requested online via the Subscriber Portal and the following restrictions apply: Any product, registration codes, and associated software patches that you obtain via the Subscriber Portal may only be used for evaluation, testing, demonstration and development purposes; they may not be used in a production environment. If you do not agree to this restriction you are not granted permission to access such files. Any questions or issues relating to the use of registration codes should be directed to subscriptions@novell.com.

Most of the components of SUSE Linux products are open source packages, developed independently, and accompanied by separate license terms. Your license rights with respect to individual components accompanied by separate license terms are defined by those terms; these terms do not limit, or otherwise affect any rights or obligations you may have, or conditions to which you may be subject, under such license terms.
