Bonus Utilities

Our January Bonus Utilities will help you work more efficiently with your Novell products. January's shipment includes five new and updated utilities. Here are some highlights:

  • Command Line Migrate: This tool is a Perl script that will trigger an account to be migrated to a connected system.

  • GroupWise Import Utility 1.62: This utility provides for the automated creation of user accounts in Novell GroupWise and eDirectory. It reads in a CSV file and imports the accounts into the system.

  • iPrintList: This utility is a PHP script that creates a Web page of iPrint servers from a CSV file stored on the Web server—the Web page can then be edited with whatever tool is convenient.

Technical White Papers

This month's shipment includes three new technical white papers to get you up to date on Novell products and technologies. Here is a sample of the white papers you'll have access to in January:

  • Novell: The Complete Answer to PCI-DSS Compliance: This paper discusses the challenge of achieving compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and reviews how Novell solutions help companies overcome those challenges, automate processes and achieve PCI-DSS compliance.

  • Pre-connect Testing: Mastering the Basics of Network Access Control: Network access control (NAC) has become an essential component of any effective security infrastructure. Without NAC, it’s difficult or impossible to keep networks clean, efficient and compliant. However, many organizations are struggling to make sense of them and find the best possible NAC solution. This paper can help you make sense of all the new technologies and approaches to NAC that have shown up in the industry recently.
