breakdown

If you're trying to find a way to celebrate the births of Mozart and Louie Braille (both born in January), we have the answer. The only way to sufficiently celebrate something of this magnitude is obviously to install this month's evaluation software. Since this month's release includes openSUSE 10.3, the free open source operating system, you can not only celebrate famous birthdays, you can celebrate better efficiency, higher productivity and easier management. But this month can't be one big party, so we've provided two new Novell Self-Study Manuals, Novell Connection Magazine, dozens of new and updated bonus utilities, 28 ReadMe files and patches, 90 Cool Solutions articles and 341 Support Knowledgebase documents (TIDs) to help you stay up to date with the latest innovations from Novell.

New Software

January is all about setting new resolutions (and sometimes breaking them). This month, set a goal you know you can achieve—find out all about the new evaluation software releasing from Novell.

  • openSUSE® 10.3: For a rich, reliable and secure home operating system, there's no better choice than openSUSE 10.3. It features an easy-to-install Linux operating system that delivers all the open source capabilities you need most for home computing and networking.

  • openSUSE® 10.3 Live CD KDE: Run openSUSE 10.3 on your computer without touching your hard drive. This live version CD uses RAM to give you an ideal first look at openSUSE 10.3 featuring the KDE interface.

  • openSUSE® Live CD GNOME: To get an in-depth sneak peek at openSUSE 10.3, use the Live CD GNOME version. Using RAM, and without putting extra stress on your hard drive, this CD gives you a great feel for openSUSE 10.3 and the GNOME interface.
