The middle of the summer generally isn't considered a gift-giving season. But the new and updated Bonus Utilities shipping this month are gifts that will keep on giving: They'll give you increased productivity, better performance and greater peace of mind. This month's release includes the following Bonus Utilities and many others:

  • Big Punch Xen Install Tool: This tool allows you to quickly create a new customized SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Novell Open Enterprise Server 2, or NetWare Virtualized Server on SUSE Linux Server 10 Xen box.

  • Lynis: This auditing tool for UNIX specialists scans the system and available software to detect security issues.

  • CUPS Information Gathering Tool: The cupsInfo script gathers CUPS-related information to help in troubleshooting CUPS issues.

  • ZLMLoad 1.4: This utility will load the base operating system packages from either mounted media, a local installation source, or ISOs into ZLM.
