May 2006 Highlights - Tech Select Service

cd/dvd breakdown

What's your pleasure? This month, you have many options. Your Novell® Tech Select Service update includes new evaluation software, a subscriber-exclusive utility for NetWare®, 35 new bonus utilities and five technical papers. Or, if you're really living on the edge, you can start with your support resources first: scanning two issues of Novell Connection magazine, searching 403 Support Knowledgebase documents (TIDs), applying new files and patches and browsing the latest Product Communities updates.

New Software

Take the latest Novell software for a test drive—there's no better way to know whether it's right for your system. This month's update includes evaluation software for Novell SecureLogin 6 and Novell Linux Point of Service 9.

Novell SecureLogin 6

With Novell® SecureLogin 6, your employees use only a single, secure login to authenticate to the corporate resources they need. Users quickly access the network, applications and secure Web sites with automated login and credential management. Novell SecureLogin eliminates users' frustrations at having to remember and manage individual credentials for each of their applications. Plus, your IT organization can finally enforce consistent credential policies.

With Novell SecureLogin, you can:

  • Reduce password-related helpdesk costs
  • Simplify user access to multiple systems and applications
  • Increase user productivity and reduce the time users waste waiting for credential resets
  • Eliminate the need for "sticky note" lists users create to remember their passwords
  • Reduce your organization's risk exposure from simple, guessable or static credentials; as well as credential sharing among users
  • Comply with government regulations for identity, privacy, policy enforcement, and audit and authentication services
