With Novell AppArmor, you can cost-effectively reduce threats, protect corporate data, reduce network-administration costs caused by frequent and urgent patching, and comply with government regulations around privacy and security. And, because AppArmor provides proactive security, protecting against even "zero-day" attacks, you can be confident that your critical assets are safeguarded.
Novell iFolder 3.0 (Linux only)
Unlike previous versions of iFolder, Novell iFolder 3.0 is not a standalone product. It is now shipping as part of Novell Open Enterprise Server and offers outstanding data-sharing functionality on Linux. You should consider using iFolder 3.0 under the following circumstances:
- Sharing is your primary reason for using iFolder.
- You currently use Linux in your environment or are considering a Linux deployment.
- You need to support Mac OS X users in your organization.
- You use multiple computers and need flexibility in sharing data across these computers.
Novell iFolder 3.0 includes an open source client, allowing you to share your iFolders with other users. You can designate the rights other users have to the iFolder contents: read only, read/write or full control. When a file is updated and saved by a user with appropriate rights to the shared iFolder, all other users get the latest version on their own machines. With completely automatic and transparent file synchronization, you won't have to repeatedly e-mail workgroup colleagues to keep them up to date on the latest files. With File System Factory, IT personnel can effortlessly keep pace with the storage demands of a busy, large-scale organization while reducing support costs.
This latest version of File System Factory includes changes and additions to backfill operations, new consistency-check operations, a new security-configuration option, additional rename functionality and an operation that can abort multiple pending events.
