CD ROM Volumes Not Appearing in NWAdmin or NWUSER

If you've noticed that your CD-ROM volumes don't appear in the NWAdmin or NWUSER utilities, you should know that CD-ROM volumes are transient from the perspective of the NetWare 4 operating system. Therefore, they do not get installed into NDS automatically.
You can access them with a map command from DOS. If you want the CD volumes in NDS, make sure the volumes are mounted. Then LOAD INSTALL and select Directory Services | Upgrade mounted volumes into the directory.
