Shutting Down a Hung Server

If a NetWare 5 server appears to be hung but its keyboard continues to function, you can still gracefully bring down the server. To do this, simultaneously press the <Ctrl>-<Alt>-<Esc> keys. A prompt will appear, asking if you want to down the server and exit to DOS. Press "Y". Your network volumes will be dismounted and your server will be downed gently. This method is less likely to result in data corruption than just turning off the power switch.
