Q.
How do I troubleshoot iFolder?
A.
Simple troubleshooting steps for iFolder:
Make sure you are using eDirectory 8.6.2 or higher for LDAP. (For example, iFolder will not work with NetWare 5.1 DS 8.82.)
Make sure the admin name in the iFolder server configuration file is correct.
Use the clear-text LDAP port for troubleshooting. (Turn off "Require TLS" on the SSL/TLS tab.)
Have iFolder log its screen to a file. (Load Apache without the switch for its own screen so LDAP will write to the log file. You can then get a copy of the log file.)
Turn on LDAP tracing on the LDAP Server Object. (On the Screen options tab, check "Connection" and "Response.")
LOAD DSTRACE. Turn off everything (DSTRACE - ALL) and turn on LDAP (DSTRACE +LDAP); then try to log in. Have LDAP log to a file.
Try bypassing the proxy in your browser to see if it will work.
