Q.
I unlocked the console of my Novell Branch Office server, and made some changes. Why are all my changes gone after a restart?
A.
When Novell Branch Office boots, it overwrites some configuration files with "clean" files, to make sure that no corruption has taken place. This means that some of the changes you make while the box is unlocked have the potential of being overwritten and returned to their "default" state when you reboot the box.
