After installing SP4 on NetWare 6.0 or SP 1.1 on NetWare 6.5, the server regularly runs out of memory, especially during backups. What can I do?
A.
The server runs out of memory because of memory fragmentation. The problem is described in detail in TID 10091980 "Memory Fragmentation Issue with NetWare 6.5" available at: http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10091980.htm.
The following patch should fix the problem: http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/2968993.htm.
The fix is included in NW6SP5 and NW65SP2.
