Q.

What is the proper way to reset intruder lockout for a user via LDAP? I've noticed the following related attributes on the user:

lockedByIntruder
loginIntruderAttempts
loginIntruderAddress
loginIntruderResetTime

Of these, which do I change or delete (and in what order) to get the same result as going into ConsoleOne and manually unlocking the user?

A.

Delete the lockedByIntruder attribute, or change its value to false. Delete loginIntruderAttempts. You can delete loginIntruderAddress if you want, but it may be useful to keep it in order to determine the address of where the last intruder lockout occurred. The order is unimportant, although I always change the lockedBy- Intruder call to be first, then the other two.
