Q.

I've written a program with Delphi 5, using the Novell ActiveX Control, NWDir. The program, which shows some user information, works everywhere except on any SYS volume. If the program runs from a SYS volume the user gets an error:

Exception: EOleSysError in module UserInfo.exe at 000460B9. Class not registered.

If the program runs from any secondary volume there is no problem. I've tested this on several NetWare 5.1 servers. Other Delphi programs that don't use the ActiveX control don't have this problem. Any idea what is wrong?

A.

Check the date and version of MFC42.DLL in your Public path. This particular error indicates that your MFC42.DLL is outdated and needs to be replaced with an updated version.
