Q.
I saw an older question about eDirectory versions needed for JNDI to be able to properly set the password. I am running eDirectory 8.5.1 and still getting an LDAP error 17 "no such attribute" when I try to replace the password attribute with JNDI and Sun's generic LDAP provider. Do I need to delete it and then add it, like I do with LDIF?
A.
Yes, under normal circumstances you will need to delete it, though I believe that if you have Supervisor rights to the object you can do a replace operation.
