Q.

I work for a large bank and need to replicate selected files, directories or volumes from a NetWare server (these files could all be a separate branches of the bank) to another NetWare server (at the main office). What I need to do is make sure that there will be a complete online replica of the most current data present at any point of time in that server. What can I do to achieve this?

Richard Replicator Rodgers

A.

Dear Richard: You know, Novell has a perfect product for you. It is called Novell Nterprise Branch Office. This product allows you to install "black-box" NetWare servers in all of your branches, while keeping the main or central server in your Main office. The Branch Office replication technology will keep all of the data on the home office server current with the data in the branch offices.

There is also a second option--that being Novell's ZENworks for Servers. This product will do automatic replication of selected files between a central server and remote clients.
