User Connections Where They Should Not Be

Articles and Tips: qna

Q.

Dear Ab-end: I am seeing users connecting to servers where they should not have a connection. How can I prevent this? -- Checking Connections in Connecticut

A.

Dear Checking: Check the value of the user's "Default Server" property in NWAdmin utility, through the NETADMIN utility (NetWare 4.x), or through the ConsoleOne utility. Be sure that it is set to the server you want users to connect to. NetWare will then use this server for its network attachment and designated network connection.
