Dear Ab-end: I have a customer who is trying to access a course catalog stored in an Oracle 8i database by using a Java, ASP or PERL script to display the catalog in a scroll list on a Web page. Does Novell have any products that can accomplish this?

Dear Wanting: I have great news for you: Novell does have products that can do this. IBM's WebSphere 3.02 ships with NetWare 5.1. You can download both WebSphere 3.5 and JVM 1.2.2 from http://www.novell.com. You could then write a simple servlet that could be accessed by any browser to view the data.
If you install Oracle as your database in WebSphere, it will install the Oracle/WebSphere samples. You can use WebSphere Studio to create or modify a WebSphere/Oracle sample servlet. WebSphere 3.5 has a WebSphere Servlet Engine installation process that only takes 10 MB of RAM to accomplish what you want.
