NDS eDirectory: Adding a Directory to the System Path in the DirXML Driver for Lotus Notes
Articles and Tips: qna

Q.
Dear Ab-end: I am experimenting with DirXML on a Windows NT workstation. I am having problems with the DirXML Driver (NLSXBE.DLL) for Lotus Notes. Specifically, I can't figure out how to add C:\LOTUS\NOTES to the "system path," which is step 2 in the documentation. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Dear Noting: In the Windows NT Control Panel, select System, Advanced, then Environment Variables. Next, highlight the path and select Edit to add C:\LOTUS\NOTES to the path.
It's a bit more complicated if you have two Windows NT Servers installed on the same machine. For example, if you have NT-Server1 on drive C: and NT-Server2 on drive D:, the System Path may be correctly configured for D:\LOTUS\NOTES, but it won't work. A workaround is to create a \LOTUS\NOTES directory on drive C: and copy the NLSXBE.DLL file into that directory.
