Getting Control of a Server's Hard Drive

Articles and Tips: qna

Q.

Dear Ab-end: I work with NetWare servers daily, and I'm wondering if there is a way to access the server's C drive from the NetWare console. I want to be able to copy files and do those other "DOS" things like see what's on the drive. Got any ideas?

A.

Dear Crazy: Yes, I too miss the good ol' DOS days. But the answer to your query is simple: Load RCONSOLE and then press <F1> to bring up the menu. That allows you to list files on the DOS partition. You can also use Novell's TOOLBOX.NLM to make directories, move or copy files, and so on.
