Q.
Dear Ab-end: I have a bunch of questions, all dealing with the Network Address Translator (NAT). Where can I get information or specs on NAT? How does Novell ship it and what does it run on?

Dear Network: You can find one of the best documents that describes NAT specifications within the RFC describing NAT (RFC1631). To get a copy of this RFC, please see: rfc1631. You can also read up on it in the March 1998 AppNotes article entitled "Network Address Translator (NAT) Theory and Troubleshooting."
You get NAT as a free component of BorderManager, which makes NAT currently available on the NetWare 4.11 platform. (BorderManager does not run on NetWare 3.12 or 4.10 platforms; a NetWare 5-compatible version is expected soon.)
