Dear Ab-end: I don't understand why there are two different limits on the number of objects within an NetWare 4.1 NDS container. I've seen some sources that claim there are one hundred objects. But in an Advanced 4.x administration class I took, they said the limit is 500. Who's right?

Dear Faulty: The real upper limit for the number of objects that can be effectively processed by NetWare 4.1 is 12,000 to 15,000 objects per container. Limitations exist in NetWare 4.1 because NDS conforms to the X.500 standard that specifies that data sent back to the client will not be in any specified order.
