Dear Ab-end: I am working on a Year 2000 project and am currently looking at the requirement to test HP JetDirect and Intel Netport print servers in a NetWare environment. I need to know where date information (such as deferred printing) is evaluated: is it by the Print Server (NLM, EXE or third-party hardware) or by QMS on the file server?

Dear Big: It is my understanding that all date information from PSERVER comes from CLIB. NDPS also uses CLIB to gather this information. NPRINTER is just a redirector, so date information must come from the print server. As for third-party hardware, it will come from CLIB if they make the call to CLIB for that information. I suggest you ask HP and Intel if they are gathering the date information from Novell's CLIB. If not, find out where they are gathering this information.
