Q.

Dear Ab-end: Short here again with another quick question. User Login Events only occur upon "shut down" of the Windows workstation (Shut Down, Shut Down, Restart, Close All Programs, and so on). Running NetWare Login from the Start menu doesn't seem to initiate the events. Is this a bug (or a feature >Restart, Close All Programs, and so on). Running NetWare Login from the Start menu doesn't seem to initiate the events. Is this a bug (or a feature <G>)?

Dear Short Again: I am beginning to think you are asking these questions just to upset me. Nevertheless, I will rise above my first impulse and answer your question as clearly and non- emotionally as possible. The condition you ask about is working as designed by our Novell engineers. But there is method to our seeming madness: Workstation Manager only executes on the initial login, before the desktop initializes. As a result, login events work after any shut downs or close all programs, but not after simply executing the GUI login program.
