Q.
Dear Ab-end: Two questions: Do you know of a way to manage Microsoft Exchange from a Windows 95 workstation? Can you manage NDS for Windows NT from a Windows 95 workstation running the NWADMIN utility?

A.
Dear Mayhem: Sorry, but there's no snap-in to manage Exchange from a Windows 95 workstation client. Microsoft doesn't support Exchange management APIs on the Windows 95 platform. Microsoft only supports Exchange administration from the Windows NT platform.
As for your second question, you can use the NDS for Windows NT snap-in on a Windows 95 machine. Just add the following files to the designated directories:
Copy IWSAM.DLL from \public\winnt to \public\win95 Copy IWS*.* from \public\winnt\nls\english to \public\win95\nls\english Copy SNAPIN32.DLL from \public\winnt to \public\win95
Then edit the Windows 95 registry by adding the following string and value:
Under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NetWare\Parameters\NetWare Administrator\Snapin Object DLLs WIN95], add the String "IWSAM.DLL", with the value for the string as "IWSAM.DLL".
