Dear Ab-end: I'm a NetWare 4.x veteran who is installing IntranetWare for Small Business for the first time, and I have a few "stupid" questions. First, what is my Tree Name? The installation program never asked me for one. Second, the install program assumed that I wanted only a SYS volume and nothing else. How do I specify additional volumes? Third, don't I have to do something with time synchronization? I know that's a fairly big issue with regular IntranetWare.

Dear Learning: Now, now, the only "stupid" question is the one you don't ask. As I answer your questions, keep in mind that IntranetWare for Small Business was designed to eliminate many of the decisions that installers needed to make during the installation process. These decisions included things like tree name, volumes, and time synchronization.
In IntranetWare for Small Business, the tree name is the same as the organization name that you enter during the installation process.
As for volumes, the initial install process defines the entire NetWare partition on the existing hard drive as volume SYS. If you add drives, you can create additional volumes on the new drives.
Time synchronization works the same as it does in NetWare 4.1 and IntranetWare, but IntranetWare for Small Business selects the default configuration for you. The first server in the tree is set up as a Single Reference time source. Any subsequent servers added to the Organization are designated as Secondary time servers.
