Q.
Dear Ab-end: hen I run the WordPerfect Internet Publisher setup program, I get the error message "WPWin 6.1 not found..." even though WordPerfect for Windows 6.1 is installed. Why do I get this error message and how do I get around it?

Dear Baffled: You generally see this error when WordPerfect for Windows was not properly registered in the Windows REG.DAT file when it was installed. But this is easy to fix. Go into the Windows File Manager and look in the Windows directory for a file called WPCFG61.REG (the file is called WKCFG61.REG if a workstation installation was performed). Double-click on this file; you should get a message that says the information in the file was successfully registered in the registration database. Now, when you rerun the WordPerfect Internet Publisher setup program, it should work.
If you still get the same error message, check some of the following areas:
Make sure you have WordPerfect for Windows 6.1 installed and not version 6.0x or any beta version of WordPerfect for Windows.
If you run WordPerfect for Windows 6.1 from a network drive, make sure you have performed a proper Workstation installation of WordPerfect for Windows 6.1. Then install WordPerfect Internet Publisher locally.
