Dear Ab-end: 've been experimenting with Novell's NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95, but I've run into a problem with our network printers, which are all connected via Hewlett-Packard's JetDirect. With Client 32 for Windows 95 running, print jobs go to the queue but for some reason are not released from the queue. I can print fine with the Microsoft Client for NetWare networks. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Dear Printerless: Are you sending PostScript files to the print queue? If so, set the Auto Endcap parameter to 20. This is done by pressing the Alt key and double-clicking on the network Neighborhood icon, selecting Novell Client 32 properties, and then choosing the Default Capture tab. Under Other Settings at the bottom of the screen, check the Auto Endcap box and type "20" in the Seconds Before Timeout box. Press OK to incorporate these changes.
These settings are global for all printers and captures that you set up in Windows 95. To make settings for a specific printer, click on the Printers folder under My Computer, highlight the printer that you want to set up differently than the default, then right-click and select Properties. Choose Details to see which LPT port is assigned to the printing process, as well as the Timeout settings for this particular printer configuration. There are numerous other settings you can make here if you need to.
