Dear Ab-end: I've heard there is a way to turn off the printing banner pages on a global level with NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95. How do you do this?

A.
Dear Bannered Out: Normally, you make printer capture settings in Windows 95 through the My Computer | Printers | Add Printer method. As you add printer drivers that support the printer captures you make, you can individually change capture settings such as form feeds, auto-endcaps, banners and so forth, to meet a specific need for a specific printer. But to globally control all printer capture settings, you need to go to the Default Capture tab in the Novell NetWare Client 32 Properties window.
On the Network Neighborhood icon, hold down the Alt key and double-click on the icon. This brings up the Network window, and you should see Novell NetWare Client 32 at or towards the top of the Configuration page. Click on the Client 32 line once, then click on the Properties button. In the Novell NetWare Client 32 Properties window, you'll see a Default Capture tab. Click on the tab and go to the Banner Setting portion of the page. Uncheck the Enable Banner option so that the box next to it is blank. This change affects all printer icons that you create from now on through the Printer Wizard.
