Q.

Dear Ab-end: We have deployed NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 in a multi-tree environment. As an administrator, I need drive mappings to more than one tree. But in my login script that is being processed by the new GUI login, I cannot get drive mappings to work correctly to the other trees. Help!

Dear Thick: If you are working with a tree that is not your default tree, you need to identify the tree name first, and then the full NDS path to the object. The correct tree path syntax is as follows:

NDS_TREE_NAME\.FULL.NDS.PATH

For example, if the second tree name is NTS_INC and you are logging in as user ADMIN in Organization NTS, the syntax in the login script for the initial attachment to the second tree would be:

NTS_INC\.ADMIN.NTS

You can then map a drive letter, using the server name and path to the directory you want to access.
