Q.

How do I suppress the Banner Page and Form Feed from my print jobs?

A.

There are several locations from which the Form Feed and Banner Page options can be set. If the applications you are printing from are Windows-based, perform either of the following procedures:

  1. In the Control Panel, select Network. Highlight the Novell NetWare Client32 component and select Properties. Under the Default Capture tab, you can set all the usual Capture settings. Make sure the Banner Page and Form Feed settings are turned off.

  2. Under the Printers icon in the Control Panel, select the Printer icon you want to view. Click the right mouse button to bring up the Properties sheet. By selecting the Printer Settings tab, you can set the Banner Page and Form Feed options. Verify that these settings are turned off and click the OK button when you are finished.

If the printer is set up to print applications from DOS, check the Capture settings in a DOS box by typing CAPTURE SH <Enter>. If necessary, redo your CAPTURE command with the /NB and /NFF options added. Make sure you define the printer settings the same way on every printer that is set up to service a print queue.
