Cyrus-imapd and the related packages are additional packages to extend
SLES 8 to allow a more sophisticated mail handling.

Problem description

Cyrus-imapd and the related packages are additional packages to extend
SLES 8 that allow a more sophisticated mail handling. If you are using the
package imap (UW-IMAPd), you have to migrate manually. A migration isn't
necessary, SuSE would suggest a migration to cyrus-imapd only if you have a need
for one of cyrus-imapds features.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

These packages are provided as RPM packages that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -ihv cyrus-sasl2.rpm cyrus-imapd.rpm perl-Cyrus-IMAP.rpm perl-Cyrus-SIEVE-managesieve.rpm cyrus-sasl2-gssapi.rpm
