Problem description

This update fixes an integer overflow in handling of large numbers in rlimit_*
attributes. It also fixes an endless loop which could occur sometimes and
cause xinetd to stop serving connections. Connections from ports <1024 are
allowed by this patch (they were previously rejected with a "Possible Denial
of Service attack" message).


Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh xinetd.rpm
