Indications

This updated reiserfs tools package fixes a problem with rebuild operations on
big endian (ppc, ppc64, s390, s390x) machines.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

reiserfsck incorrectly fixed objectid corruption on big endian
systems. During a --rebuild-tree or --fix-fixable
operation, reiserfsck would mis-identify corruption, and fix it
incorrectly. This updated version fixes this problem.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh reiserfs.rpm
