Contraindications

None.

Problem description

  • The ini_restore() method could be exploited to reset options set in the webserver config to their default values (CVE-2006-4625)
  • The memory handling routines contained an integer overflow (CVE-2006-4812)
  • The previous security update broke the imap_fetch_overview() function, this problem is fixed now as well.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh mod_php4.rpm mod_php4-core.rpm mod_php4-servlet.rpm mod_php4-devel.rpm
