Indications

This update fixes several problems with the ppc64 crossglibc.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

This update synchronizes the patches done for the system glibc with the PowerPC64 crosscompiler glibc, including but not limited to spinlock and m_context fixes. This update reads the unintentionally lost asm-ppc64/systemcfg.h header required by some 3rd party tools. (LTC#5429 / SUSE#33249) This update also makes statically linking programs against the pthread library possible. (LTC#5511 / SUSE#33467)

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Uvh cross-ppc64-glibc.rpm
