The amtu package is required for the evaluated configuration of SLES9 for the
Common Criteria CAPP/EAL4 evaluation.



Problem description

AMTU stands for Abstract Machine Testing Utility. It is a program that checks if virtual memory management works as designed and required to enforce the seperation of processes and thereby users.
The package has not been part of the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 when it was shipped. This is why it is being offered for download and installation here. See the file /usr/share/doc/packages/amtu/AMTUHowTo.txt in the package for more information.


Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -ivh amtu.rpm
