This update should be installed.

Problem description

The BER decoding routines in the OpenLDAP2 package contained a bug
which allows remote attackers to crash the LDAP server. Since LDAP
servers may be used as authorization servers an update is recommended.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh openldap2.rpm
After that please restart the LDAP service with:
rcldap restart
