Problem description

The netpbm package contained various integer overflows which could
lead to arbitrary code execution if special constructed input is
processed. Special checks have been added to ensure that integer
calculations cannot overflow anymore.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Uvh libnetpb.rpm
