Install this upgrade if you are using the Squid webproxy.



Problem description

A patch was applied to Squid making it able to use more than 1024 open socket connections. This patch was faulty and could lead to a Squid user being able to crash the Squid webproxy.
The patch was disabled, these updated packages fix the problem.


Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh squid.rpm
