Problem description

YaST2 Online Update on SLES8 ignores the comment sign in the configuration
file /etc/sysconfig/online_update. If you for example copy a line for future
reference, insert a # at the beginning of the line and then change the
copy, the changes will not apply since the value is taken from the commented
out line.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fhv yast2-packagemanager.rpm yast2-packagemanager-devel.rpm
