Everyone using OpenSSH should install this update.




Various minor problems were fixed in OpenSSH:
  • Password expiry notification messages from pam_ldap were not printed since "informal" PAM messages got discarded by the SSH daemon.
  • CVE-2005-2797: A bug introduced in OpenSSH 4.0 was fixed that caused GatewayPorts to be incorrectly activated for dynamic ("-D") port forwardings when no listen address was explicitly specified.
  • A bug introduced by an earlier security fix for X11 forwarding that caused potential endless loops was fixed.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh openssh.rpm openssh-askpass.rpm
