Problem description

Reading data from a network connection appears to hang due to a problem with the code that PHP uses to wait for the data arrive. Depending on the configuration of PHP the script may subsequently abort due to execution timeout.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as RPM packages that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


	rpm -Uvh mod_php4.rpm mod_php4-core.rpm

Afterwards restart apache with


	rcapache restart
