Problem description

Users running iptables on ia64 architecure and using limit module kept getting
following error message:
Couldn't load match `limit':/usr/lib/iptables/libipt_limit.so: undefined symbol: __udivsi3 Problem
was fixed after libraries were linked with gcc and not with ld as linker.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh iptables.rpm iptables-devel.rpm
