Problem description

This update contains two fixes:
  1. the code was changed to use poll instead of select, so openslp does not crash anymore if filedescriptor numbers are beyond 1024.
  2. slpd now also listens on the SLPv1 General Multicast address port to enhance SLPv1 compatibility.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh openslp.rpm openslp-server.rpm openslp-devel.rpm
