certification-sles-eal2) provides documentation, a script and a set of RPM packages for the EAL2 security certification of SLES8.The included script can be used along the guidelines in the security guide to transfer the fresh installation of the SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 (SLES8), with or without Service Pack 1 or 2 installed, to the certified configuration.
As a starting point, please refer to
README-eal2.txtthat is included in the package as
/usr/share/doc/packages/certification-sles-eal2/README-eal2.txtAs such, the package itself is inactive and does not contain any components that are required at runtime of the system. By consequence, the package can be removed again fron your system once the intended transition to the certified configuration has been completed successfully.
