Install this update if you are using net-snmp.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

  • The snmpd sent out IPv4 addresses as 8Bytes when running on a 64bit architecture. (#115254,#133784)
  • The snmpd did not handle gigabit network interfaces correctly. (#155709,#155730)
  • The snmpd did not start, if the log file had a size of 2GB. The init script now runs logrotate to workaround this bug. Logrotate unconditionally restarted the snmpd. Switched the config to use "snmpd try-restart".
