Problem description

This updates solves a problem with the initialisation of the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH while starting GNOME by using
/usr/X11R6/bin/gnome. This bug can lead to local privilege
escalation.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh gnome-session.rpm
