Indications

This update fixes a buffer overflow in the BMP and AVI handling.

None.

Problem description

This update fixes a buffer overflow in the handling of BMP images and AVI movies in the ImageMagick image handling routines, potentially allowing an external attacker to gain access to the machine, if ImageMagick scripts are used in scripts parsing remote data.
Mitre has reserved CAN-2004-0827 for this issue.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.
