Everyone using mtx to control a tape library autoloader should install this patch.

Problem description

Certain configurations can lead to SCSI timeouts that occur when accessing tape autoloaders due to mtx using inappropriate parameters.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh mtx.rpm
